FSD V14 Lite on My 2022 Model 3 – The Leap I Waited For

Coming from FSD 12.6.4 on my 2022 Model 3, V14 Lite is leaps and bounds better. It brings real smoothness and that human feel to the car. My wife no longer complains about jerkiness, and its decisions are sound.

                Even though 12.6.4 was already very good, V14 Lite — although distilled — is a great model that learns and utilizes human behaviors.
            

Parking Garage Magic

I had a really good experience with a parking garage. It pulled right in, parked for us, handled multi levels, and navigated perfectly on the way out. Clean and confident.

Flooded Street

It navigated a flooded street perfectly — chose the shallower side and followed other cars out. Magical. Situations that need human judgment? It handled them well.

The Quirks

Brake stabbing still happens in shadow areas and standing water — the car is a bit of a cat — but almost none compared with before.

2022 vs Newer

I don’t feel a big difference vs a newer Model 3 for day-to-day FSD. RGB lights and design tweaks aside, the driving experience is already there.

Looking Ahead

Not sure why it took this long, but the work shows. Influencer beta testing was needed to flush out bugs. 14.1 Lite is coming and I’m super stoked for more improvements.

Overall: wow. This is what I waited for.
